Rehearsals

We run weekly rehearsals for all of our bands during term time. There are no auditions for any of the bands, meaning that new members are welcome to try us out at any time of the year. We welcome students from both Sheffield universities as well as others from the local area.

We primarily use Facebook groups to organise our bands – so please join the groups of any bands you are interested in joining for up-to-date information on upcoming rehearsals, gigs and socials.

You can attend up to two rehearsals before we ask you to pay membership, which means you have a chance to try us out before having to commit. Please get in touch if you have any further questions about joining.

All of our rehearsals are held in 38 Mappin Street, Sheffield, S1 4DT. This site requires you to swipe a University of Sheffield UCard to open the main entrance. If you are not a member of the University, please send us a message on Facebook, WhatsApp or email one of our committee members to be let in.

After rehearsals, band members head to Interval and/or Bar One for a drink and to socialise. Interval is a chilled and welcoming place and members new and old are most welcome. Coming along after one of our rehearsals is the best way to get to know your band-mates!
